Re-imagining South Africa is a Cape Town TV (CTV) project on a series of weekly current affairs shows on CTV – made possible by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, South Africa Office. This second series builds on the first series of 12 episodes broadcasted from September to December 2020.
The series is an FES and Cape Town TV project that consists of weekly current affairs television programme of one hour per week/episode, hosted by John Matisonn, to re-imagine South Africa in the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic. It aims to provide a forum to bring to public attention ideas and policy solutions needed to improve government and grow a job-creating economy.
The show aims to provide a forum to bring together local and international thought leaders. It will seek South Africa-appropriate solutions on current issues such as – for example - how to kickstart infrastructure development, seeking best options for aligning energy plans with our climate change policy and international commitments, or examining South Africa’s role in multilateral institutions alongside our African and international partners.
