As a global citizen, having seen the need for financial literacy, he started the financial market education initiative to teach kids between the ages of 12-16 years about financial markets (F0REX), the aim is to close the gap on financial literacy as well as unemployment.

Asanda Gebhuza has completed a BCom Honours in Information Systems and is currently doing a Masters in Rural Development focusing on Land Administration at Fort Hare University. He was a community youth leader in Midrand, Johannesburg in 2010/2011.

Asanda was privileged to have been part of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung South Africa’s youth leadership programme, Fort Hare Autumn School (FHAS) 2018 Cohort. The programme provided an opportunity for him to enhance his leadership skills and opened his eyes on issues that young people need to pay attention to. He was known as an Entrepreneur type of a leader, during private discussions he would advocate for youth involvement in Economic development and not only active in the political side. He asserted that young people should be known by their great ideas that boosts the economy. 

He was recently invited to attend Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality’s External Representative Forum which the Mayor was sharing the plan and the budget of the Municipality. Asanda was there to represent the Youth in terms of Youth Budget allocation and the youth involvement in the economy of the Metro.
