Digital Capitalism - Revolution or Hype?

Does digital change mean prosperity and participation for all or inequality and social upheaval?

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Berlin will host a two days workshop on #DigitalCapitalism

The discussions will look at:

Digitization penetrates more and more areas of our economy.

  • But does capitalism really experience a revolution?
  • Or does he only get a new coat of paint?
  • Does digital change mean prosperity and participation for all or inequality and social upheaval?
  • What does politics need to do to shape digital capitalism so as to bring social progress?

We want to discuss all this - together with politics, business, trade unions, science and civil society.

Digitalization is permeating more and more areas of our economy.

  • Are we witnessing an economic revolution?
  • Or is capitalism just getting a makeover?
  • Will this process result in prosperity and participation for all or inequality and social regression?
  • What do politicians have to do?

That is more than just a business.
