The Sixth Decent Standard of Living Colloquium

A critical reflection on the Socially Perceived Necessities (SPN) in attaining a Decent Standard of Living (DSL)

2021 Decent Standard of Living Colloquium

"As South Africa begins to rebuild socially and economically from the Covid-19 pandemic, we will show how the DSL provides a human centric approach to measure what necessities are needed for an acceptable standard of living and a living wage.

We launch our 2020/2021 research findings that reflect what people think is important for a decent life, specifically post- Covid-19. Over 900 telephonic surveys were conducted, in 5 provinces, that reflect the necessities across various classes, ages and ethnic groups."
