New FES South Africa Resident Director

 The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) South Africa is very pleased to announce that Dr Heinz Bongartz has joined the office as a Resident Director. He was previously based at the FES Nairobi office in Kenya. Dr Heinz Bongartz, holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Bielefeld, Germany. He has worked in various development projects in India, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Uruguay and Macedonia. In addition he lectured the Sociology of Development at Universities in Germany, Nepal, Philippines and Macedonia. He has published various books on the issues of development in the underdeveloped countries of Asia. Dr Heinz Bongartz has been with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation for the last 29 years.
