Coordinates the Alliance for Rural Democracy (ARD) In response to the relentless global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, wealthy countries are rapidly rolling out and even 'stockpiling' vast quantities of vaccine doses. Meanwhile, many poorer countries in the Global South continue to lag behind with their vaccine rollout programmes. This puts at risk millions of lives. Moreover, the social and economic impacts of the 'COVID-19' pandemic remain fuzzy at the local level, especially among the impoverished communities in rural and urban areas.
